World Amateur Subbuteo Players Association
Promoting Subbuteo Worldwide, One Friendly Flick at a Time
Founded in 2011, WASPA offers a welcoming, global platform for Subbuteo players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a solo flicker, a local club regular, or just looking to reconnect with the game, WASPA provides structure, community, and international recognition, with minimal pressure and maximum enjoyment.

What is WASPA?
The World Amateur Subbuteo Players Association isn’t a federation, it’s a friendly international circuit that connects clubs and players through relaxed, ranking-point-awarding tournaments.
From casual club fixtures to international friendlies, WASPA offers a way for all kinds of players to enjoy competition on their own terms.

There are Over 60 countries involved, with Events for all player types, including, casual, competitive, returning and new.

WASPA Rankings
WASPA tracks global player and nation rankings, and everyone earns points just for taking part. Whether you're a beginner or a returning legend, your games count.
Points are awarded for, Regional events, Consolation tournaments, Test matches and Cup Events

Older points gradually reduce in value over time, meaning current form always matters most.

WASPA + FISTF: Working Together
WASPA isn’t here to replace FISTF, it complements it. In fact, many events carry dual status, meaning players can earn both WASPA and FISTF ranking points at the same time.
This setup especially benefits countries where FISTF activity is limited, offering a gateway to more regular competitive play.

Get Involved
All you need to run a WASPA event is a table, three players, and a bit of enthusiasm.
Whether it’s a club night, youth session, or casual gathering, play under the WASPA banner and help your local Subbuteo scene grow.
Flick for fun. Flick for friends. Flick for WASPA.
