A good turn out at the farm with 15 players turning up, it started with an introduction to the new players Rich Roper and Simon Bodily and a minute’s silence in memory of Gareth Thomas before the games kicked off! In division 1 Steve Wonacott got his first point of the season getting a well-deserved draw against John Lauder, in his next match his was against Dave Samuel but lost 2-1 and finished the evening play last seasons runner up David Lauder and lost 6-1, David Lauder had a up and down night firstly beating last season 3rd place player Daren Barnes 3-2 and Alan Hounsell 4-0 but losing to last year’s league winner Aaron Skinner 3-0, Alan Hounsell defense didn’t have the best night conceding 10 goals in 2 games he was heard saying “The only way was up” or could of be down, Rudi was due to play his first league games but his team bus must of got lost on the way
Nearly a full house in In division 2 with Rich Roper who travelled all the way from Wolverhampton kick started his season against the experienced Martin Monk with a 2-1 win but then slipped up and lost 1-0 to Peter Marshall, he managed two more wins beating Stuart Briffett 2-0 and his local rivel who also travelled from Wolverhampton Simon Bodily 1-0, player of the night was Malcom Jarvis who won 3 of his 3 games beating Stuart Briffett 3-0, Simon Bodily 1-0 and Peter Marshall 2-1, Stuart Briffett didn’t have the didn’t have the best of nights conceding 11 goals but aims to improve!
