We have broken the World Cup part of the site into main categories all starting from the new World Cup landing page with sub menus which include -
Tunbridge Wells Information – in this section we have compiled some information about the host town of Tunbridge wells including, Places To Visit when you’re here for the World Cup weekend, Places To Stay with links to all the best hotels in and around the town, Places To Eat And Drink where we have put together a list of some great restaurants and pubs for you to enjoy a relaxing meal and a drink after a good day of Subbuteo. And finally Travelling Around, this section is full of travel tips, from the nearest airports, train stations, and all the local taxi companies and links to buses that can take you to and from the town centre to the Subbuteo venues.
FISTF World Cup Information – Here you will find a lot of information about a number of areas which will grow in the build up to the event, but for now you will find. World Cup Venue Information, including venue addresses and website links. World Cup Partners, a section to view who we are working alongside us help present this festival of table football. Over the coming months we will expand these sections, starting with The ESA Legacy and what hosting the World Cup means to England and it’s Subbuteo community. World Cup Teams, this section is to see all the competing nations and their squads. The England Team, the place where we will announce all the players who will make up our England squad going into this premier event, for now you can read the words of Director of Team England, Darren Clark ,who gives his thoughts, hopes and aspirations for this World Cup. And finally, we have, World Cup Event Team, a section where you will see photos and names of each of the ESA board members and volunteers who will be on hand to offer help and advice to travelling players and spectators at each of our events, we are here to help.
World Cup 2024 Event Calendar – in this section you will find a complete guide to each event that will be taking place, including what type of event it is, the address of the venue and the date and time of when it will be.
World Cup Events – in this final section we will give you all the information about each event that will make up the World Cup weekend, starting with,
The Eland Cables FISTF World Cup Events, including Individual and team event information, which will grow as we receive more information about each event.
The Subbuteo Old School World Cup, this will include events held at the Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre, including, The Subbuteo Individual World Cup and Team Events, played to old rules and the Family Fun Day Event.
Subbuteo Flats World Cup, a fringe event played on the evening of Saturday the 21st, with all information to follow.
Walking Tour of Subbuteo, this will be a walking tour of sites where Subbuteo was made, including the original Subbuteo factory, now a hotel, where you will see the famous Peter Adolph Heritage Blue Plaque. We’ll bring you more information as we receive it.
The Subbuteo Exhibition, Royal Tunbridge Wells impressive Subbuteo Collection will be on display for all to see at the Amelia Scott, this is a must for Subbuteo collectors and for people to take a look back down memory lane. Full details will follow soon.
