The standard of play remained high throughout the day, as some of England’s most consistent TSPA performers continued to jostle for points in the National standings. As the dust settled after the final round, Kevin Cordell emerged as the overall event winner, with a string of commanding performances that included key wins over Steve Wonnacott and Kevin Dyson. Cordell’s mixture of tactical discipline and finishing prowess made him the man to beat.

Pushing him all the way and only missing out on the top spot by goal difference was runner-up Colin Fletcher. Buoyed by his recent Birmingham League triumph, Fletcher delivered a strong showing with standout wins over Jeremy Bradley and Steve Wonnacott, while a hard-fought late draw with Kevin Cordell ultimately tipped the balance in Kevin’s favour.

  • Marco Ghigliotti showed his class with wins against Graham Harwood and Richard Roper, closing the day strongly.

  • Robert Paterson continues to impress with his high work rate and finished the event with solid wins over Nigel Morgan and Mark Weaver.

  • Graham Harwood put in a strong shift across the day. His efforts included a 2–0 win over Trevor Allen and a 2–1 victory in the final round against Richard Roper.

  • Steve Wonnacott played some sparkling stuff early on, including a 3-0 win over Mark Weaver, but couldn’t quite maintain momentum.
