200 days until the FISTF World Cup Tunbridge Wells 2024

With only 200 days to go until the World Cup in Tunbridge Wells, England, it is time to start thinking about what the FISTF World Cup means to you! whether it's playing in the main tournament, having ago at Subbuteo in one of the fringe events, or just visiting our host town of Tunbridge Wells where it all started, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.



Over the coming months the English Subbuteo Association will be launching new pages on our website to give you all the information that you will need so you are able to get the most from this year’s biggest Subbuteo Table Football event.


 

So, what can we tell you so far. Tournament play all flicks off on Friday the 20th of September where you will see the Old School Traditional Subbuteo event, with the best players who enjoy the older style game of Subbuteo will flick and curl their players to victory. The main FISTF world Cup events will take place over two days at the Tunbridge Well Sports Centre, day one on Saturday the 21st of September with the individual categories. This will see the world’s best, Open, Veterans, Women and youth players battle it out for World Cup glory and where we will crown the winners of the 2024 FISTF World Cup in each of these categories. Day two, Sunday the 22nd of September with be Team event day. Teams will compete in the Open, Veterans, Women, and youth players categories in squads of up to six players to find the World Cup winning teams in each of the categories.

 


This World Cup is not only about tournament play, but also about the History of the game and where it all started! in our fantastic host town of Tunbridge Wells, where the founder of Subbuteo Peter Adolph invented the game. There will be walking tours of former Subbuteo sites, Subbuteo displays and many other Subbuteo related things to see and enjoy.

We will also be announcing other fringe events in different locations around Tunbridge Wells which will be open to players young and old and to all abilities.
