Tunbridge Wells the home town of the Eland Cables FISTF World Cup 2024
Friday 20th September to Sunday 22nd September 2024
England hosts the 2024 Eland Cables FISTF World Cup in Tunbridge Wells on 20-22 September. Such an iconic venue prompted the English Subbuteo Association to host a parallel event to celebrate the Subbuteo heritage. We are excited to announce that the Subbuteo Old School World cup event will have an individual event that will take place at the Tunbridge Wells Royal Victoria Place shopping centre over three days.

An international individual tournament will be held on 10 tables. Individual players will represent their country to compete for the Subbuteo Old School Nations World Cup

The Event Format
​
Each table will be equipped with pitches belonging to a specific Subbuteo era. This living museum will connect players and public with the history of Subbuteo and Tunbridge Wells’ Subbuteo production. ESA will issue the list of the range of approved playing figures together with the rules of the game. They are based on the 1974 Advanced Rules that expanded defensive blocks in all phases of a match making the traditional game more dynamic. This set of Old School rules will be followed for all the 3-day’s events. Each day will culminate in a presentation of trophies and medals.

How To Participate
​
£12 Entry fee per player and that fee is not refundable. We kindly ask the MNAs to nominate their players and pay the related fee by 24th June 2024. If this deadline is passed, we reserve the right to continue by direct invitation from the ESA.
If the applications exceed capacity, we will accept entries on a first come, first served basis.
